Set against the breathtaking landscape of the Red Deer River valley, this intimate experience has been thoughtfully curated for horsewomen who want more than just time in the saddle—it’s a weekend of connection, learning, restoration, and indulgence.
In celebration of the Year of the Fire Horse, spend your days riding alongside Jill Barron—whose own fiery passion for horses is both inspiring and contagious.
Each participant will enjoy daily semi-private riding sessions with Jill, designed to elevate your horsemanship while deepening the partnership with your horse.
Between sessions, slow down and savor the beauty of the ranch with leisurely trail rides along the Red Deer River, where you and your horse may even wade into the refreshing water on a warm afternoon.
This retreat blends horsemanship with wellness and experience in a way that feels both grounding and luxurious.

To close out Saturday evening, gather for a signature hat-bar experience, where you’ll design and craft your own custom hat—a stylish keepsake from a truly memorable weekend.
Have a friend who would love the experience but didn't get into the full retreat? They are welcome to join as an auditor for the clinic portion and attend Saturday evening’s dinner and hat bar celebration or add on any of the other delightful offerings. One friend per retreat attendee.

About Ace High Hat Bar
Meaning
Ace high is a slang term used to describe something that is respectable, first class and of high quality. Here at our hat bar everyone is welcomed, greeted, and treated to the best quality products and services. Our values lie in assuring everyone leaves with a hat they are comfortable and confident wearing.
Our History
Established in 2024, Ace High Hat Bar was born out of the idea that no one needs to settle for a hat that is just okay. Having the freedom to work with an experienced shaper and chose from endless bands and finishes will have you walking out with a proud chest and pride wearing your one of a kind creation.
Products
We offer a wide range of hat selections including bangora, straw, wool felt and luxurious blends of fur. Our products are made with the finest materials and are designed to cater to the needs of our customers. We offer an extensive selection of products to suit every style and budget.
Sustainability
Our spooled hat bands are made from recycled textiles. We also have a selection of faux leather hat bands which have been reclaimed to be reused. The brooches are all vintage. Ace High Hat Bar can also restore your hats. We can clean and reshape your hat back to life!

Our team of experienced therapists work to improve the overall health and wellbeing of horses by focusing on the connection between mental, physical and emotional health.
We specialize in equine bodywork - advanced massage, myofascial and trigger point therapies, cranial sacral and acupressure, soft tissue assisted postural realignment, gait analysis, balanced feet, saddle fit, and other holistic therapies. Our treatments are tailored to the individual needs of each horse, and we take pride in providing the highest quality of care.
